- An assortment of different Fimo (soft) colors
- A butter knife
- A tablespoon
- A cork
- A rolling pin
- Varnish
- A few pottery tools
- Ribbon

Choose a base colour for your tie . Roll out the Fimo clay with a rolling pin then trace the shape of a tie. With a ruler or a cutting tool cut out the shape and remove the extra clay.

Role out another color and cut out a square that will be the knot of the tie. Leave 1/2" out at both sides of the square. With the variety of colourful Fimo clay, have fun making little shapes of all sorts of Daddy's favourite things and hearts, stars and, use your imagination. Then one by one, with a little pressure, apply each piece to the tie in a nice composition.

Mom, with a knife or an exacto, cut along the 2 sides of the knot without going to the extremities. These slits will serve to pass the ribbon. With a toothpick poke holes along the sides for a stitched effect.

Place your tie on a tablespoon making sure that the knot is above the curve of the spoon. Now you're ready to move on to the next steps...

Make a black Fimo ball and flatten it. Penetrate the Cork to reinforce where it will be glued and remove. Apply "Bake & Bond" glue and put the Cork in place. Add a little pressure until it holds in place.

Make a small yellow cylinder and place it on the black surface and then cut out yellow triangles that will contour it one by one.

Wrap the base of the crown with a 1/2" strip.

Add little colourful balls at the extremities and around the crown.

Final touches.... with a toothpick poke decorative holes and then place your cork and tie in the oven for 20 minutes at 375º.
