Much more than snow!

Fête des neiges is Montréal’s big winter festival where families are invited to come and play outdoors and enjoy an array of activities in the magical world of Parc Jean-Drapeau. This event will be unfolding over the course of three consecutive weekends, from January 21 to February 5, 2012. New features this year include a magnificent Snow Village with a hotel, restaurant, replicas of familiar Montréal buildings and lighted snow tunnels to explore all winter long. Naturally, the Fête’s traditionally popular activities will be back: tube sliding, zip line, boot or ice hockey, snow scooter and skating along the river. Friendly mascot Boule de Neige will be welcoming visitors with his pals, who will be entertaining at the various activities, and dynamic comedian Yan England is again part of the festivities as the event’s spokesperson. The Fête des neiges is definitely the place to be to discover and enjoy the many facets of winter in Montréal. And it’s so easy to get there by subway!
